About Beep
We understand the challenges of managing team and client communication because we've lived them. That's why we built Beep: to give businesses their time back.
After spending more than 20 years designing communication systems for schools, early childhood centres, and businesses, Andrew Balfour kept seeing the same problem.
Organisations were wasting countless hours chasing people for information, approvals, documents, and responses. Whether it was parents, customers, staff, or clients, the process was largely manual, repetitive, and incredibly time-consuming.
Businesses were relying on a mix of email platforms, SMS tools, spreadsheets, and manual processes to keep things moving. Important tasks were falling through the cracks, staff were spending hours on follow-ups, and valuable time was being lost to administration rather than productive work.
Andrew founded Beep to automate those processes and give organisations a smarter way to manage communication at scale.
As Beep evolved, a new opportunity emerged within the accounting industry.
Accounting firms were spending hundreds of hours every year chasing clients for bank reconciliations, GST information, financial documents, approvals, and other compliance-related tasks. Despite advances in accounting software, there was still no simple way to automate client follow-ups and manage compliance communications across an entire client base.
That's why we developed Beep as an Automation Hub for modern accounting firms.
Integrated directly with Xero, Beep enables accounting firms to launch compliance campaigns in just a few clicks, automate reminders across SMS and email, track client responses, and eliminate much of the manual chasing that slows down compliance workflows.
Today, Beep helps organisations automate communication, recover valuable staff time, and focus on higher-value work. For accounting firms, that means less time chasing clients and more time delivering advice, completing compliance work, and growing their practice.
